Story

Aged for five years in the warm, humid air of Menghai, this 2020 cake comes from the forested hills of Banzhang, where the scent of wet bark, moss, and earth hangs in the air.

Crafted with a high ratio of golden tips, it brews soft and creamy, balancing the deep, grounded character of shou with gentle sweetness and refined texture.

Each steep feels ancient and composed — a calm strength unfolding in time.

Taste

cacao skin • dark fruit • damp cedar • velvet earth • soft strength

Craft & Origin

• Banzhang, Menghai, Yunnan, China
• Harvested Spring 2020
• Wet-piled wo dui fermentation (rested and pressed into 100 g cakes)
• Naturally aged in Menghai

Use a small knife or pick to gently pry the edge of the cake.

Loosen a few grams at a time, breaking from the side rather than digging into the center.

Keep the leaves as whole as possible. For daily drinking, use 3–5 grams.

Rinse once with boiling water to awaken the leaves.

Then steep at 95–100 °C.
